Alright, maybe I should delve into this more. I can’t address it well with that small little about me section. So, here I go:
I hate Hetalia because of the fanbase. A majority of the fanbase that is. Now, I’m not saying everyone is bad because I know that is so not true. I met some Hetalia fans in the HBO fanbase and they’re some of the sweetest most mature people I know (even if the HBO war fanbase can get a little wacky sometimes. But a good kind of wacky!). It’s their lack of understanding and absurd ships that anger me. They make history out to be some sort of sick joke, some sort of game, and it isn’t and never was. Some history jokes and puns are nice, but these guys are so dense that they make my heart hurt.
If you do like Hetalia, I don’t hate you. Not at all. I will follow you after browsing your blogs because, most of the time I gain a follower, I tend to look at what they have in their blogs. If there’s SOME Hetalia (I already follow blogs with a little of it), I’ll follow, especially since the majority of the blog is already WWII related or any other war theme. But, if you are a die-hard Hetalia fan, don’t be offended. I don’t hate you, but I sure as hell am not going to be checking out your blog any time soon.
So, don’t get too discouraged. I only avoid blogs if they are filled to the brim with Hetalia. And I did give the show a try. It certainly did not stick with me.
